Day 1: Navigating the Río Paraná
This activity lasts two hours with a maximum of 12 passengers, boarding from the pier on the river to navigate the Paraná, you will also visit the different channels in the Parana forest where there is a variety of tree species per hectare, which allows watching birds and black howler monkeys.
Day 2: Sendero de Los Monos & Cabalgatas (Trail of Monkeys and Horse riding)
This activity lasts approximately 45 minutes. Walking along a trail we will go into the forest, where the howler monkeys live at the top of the trees. Birds and mammals can also be seen in the lower part of the vegetation. This region has been declared “Important Bird Conservation Area”.
Horse riding lasts around 2 hours and guests are accompanied by a local guide, who will indicate how to take the different trails in the estancia. This will be a wonderful historical tour, going through woods and watching the amazing sunsets in Corrientes.
Day 3: Discovering the Ibera Wetlands
This activity lasts around five hours, it is ideal for 15 people, maximum.
After travelling 10 km we reach the pier where we start navigating the channel to Laguna Valle. During the trip we will see capybaras, caimans, Pampas deer, Neotropical otters and Marsh deer.
As the sun sets, the guide will offer “mate” and tasting of delicacies from Corrientes.
Day 4: Visit to Caiman Farm and Forest Nursery
The visit to the Caiman Farm lasts around 30 minutes; the farm is in the estancia. The farmer breeds caimans. Part of them are returned to the wild and the rest are marketed. The guests can participate in the different chores, such as assisting at the hatching of the eggs or selecting the individuals to be freed.
The visit to the Forest Nursery lasts approximately 45 minutes. Around 4 million annual seedlings are produced: kiri, grevillea, eucalyptus and yerba mate. These are used to implement the management of forest plantations.
