This adventure trek has been specially designed for those who love to explore and trek on mountain terrains. El Chalten is the National Capital of Trekking in Argentina. Surrounded by nature you will experience this adventure having amazing views of lagoons, glaciers, mountains and forests.
Today we will enjoy a full-day trekking from Los Huemules Reserve , 20 km from El Chaltén, following the winding path of the De las Vueltas River. We will take Loma del Diablo to make a hike up through a forest of lengas and ñires admiring all the glaciers. After gaining altitude on steep terrain we will have amazing views of the Andean Range. Night at Laguna Cóndor Mountain Refuge.
Our day begins in a beautiful area of Los Glaciares National Park known as Hostería El Pilar trail. From there we will head to Poincenot Campsite bordering the Blanco River, and stopping at the Piedras Blancas Glacierviewpoint. As we move forward, we will see Fitz Roy Mount from different angles to finally reach our final challenge: De los Tres Lagoon, the best Fitz Roy Mount viewpoint and one of the most impressive sceneries in Patagonia.
Today the adventure begins going towards the valley of the Madre and Hija lagoons, leaving Fitz Roy Mount behind us and aiming to Torre Mount. Then, we will go downstream on Fitz Roy River to cross a large glacial moraine and meet Torre lagoon. Here we will rest and have lunch enjoying a beautiful view of the Grande Glacier. If weather allows, we can go to the Maestri Viewpoint.
