The Carretera Austral is one of the most spectacular scenic routes in the world involving lakes and rivers, glaciers and fjords, mountains, volcanoes and hot springs. This tour combines history, virgin landscapes, a little rafting adventure, relax in the hot springs, glaciers and the spectaculars capillas de mármol (Marble Chapels).

Day 1: Arrival in Balmaceda – Puerto Tranquilo – General Carrera Lake

From Balmaceda airport we take the Carretera Austral to Puerto Tranquilo along the shore of General Carrera Lake. In this adventure tour we will discover beautiful forests of lengas and other autochthonous tree species. On the way we can admire Chiguay lagoon and the imposing Castillo Mount. We will make different stops along the way. Lunch is Included

Day 2: Exploradores Valley - Puerto Bertrand

Today we will arrive at Exploradores Valley visitor center. We will start a medium difficulty trek, crossing an evergreen forest and later, a short but steep moraine to reach the Exploradores Glacier lookout point. From this perfect spot we will be able to admire the vastness of the Northern Ice Field, Mount San Valentín and the Exploradores Glacier. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Puerto Bertrand.

Day 3: Horseback Riding & Plomo Lake Sailing

After breakfast we will enjoy two incredible activities in Patagonia: Sailing and Horseback riding. We will do a 2 and a half hour sailing on Plomo Lake getting to see different peaks such as Mount Campamento. Once we disembark we will do a short trek to reach a stunning waterfall. On the return to Puerto Bertrand we will have lunch. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a 3-hour horseback ride along the Baker River and Nef River basin.

Day 4: Baker River Rafting - Patagonia Park Tamango area - Cochrane

Today we will do a 2-hour rafting through the rapids of the Baker River. After lunch we will hit again Carretera Austral to reach the confluence with the Nef River, an impressive postcard. After passing through the town of Cochrane we will enter the Patagonia National Park to sail on the Cochrane River and do a small trek to see huemules.

Day 5: Full Day Caleta Tortel

Continuing our Carretera Austral Tour we will travel for 2 and a half hours until we reach Caleta Tortel, known for its unique architecture and lifestyle, where the streets have been replaced by cypress wood walkways, allowing the area's biodiversity to be preserved. We will have lunch at a typical restaurant.

Day 6: Ice Trek at Calluqueo Glacier - Chile Chico Town

Today we go to Calluqueo Glacier, located 50 kilometers away. This wonder emerges from Monte San Lorenzo, the second highest summit in Patagonia. We will have a short sailing to get to the glacier and start our ice trekking. Box Lunch is included. In the afternoon we will head to the town of Chile Chico bordering the General Carrera Lake.

Day 7: Puerto Ibáñez – Coyhaique

We will head to Chile Chico pier to sail for 2 hours in the General Carrera Lake. Before continuing to Coyhaique, we will visit its incredible falls. We will have Lunch at Villa Cerro Castillo or enjoy a box lunch.

Day 8: Coyhaique – Aeropuerto Balmaceda

Say goodbye and transfer to the hotel.
