The Ice trekking at Grey Glacier starts at the base camp located on the northern shore of the beautiful Grey Lake

The guides will explain the tour, the time table and we will check our equipment to be ready for the adventure.

After this, we will sail on a Zodiac boat for 15 minutes till we reach the west side of the Grey Glacier. On arrival, we will disembark at the nunatak (rock island inside the glacier) and begin to walk on it for about an hour, until we finally reach the ice.

Before we start the real adventure, the guide will give a safety talk, explaining the techniques for walking on ice and the correct use of the equipment. After the talk, we start exploring this wonderful glacier for around 3 hours.
