Tierra del Fuego National Park

During theTierra del Fuego National Park activity we will enjoy different views of the Beagle Channel surrounded by mountains and woods. During the last part of the tour in the Park, we will reach Bahía Lapataia, stopping at the Lake Roca, which changes its color depending on the weather.

You will learn about the local ecosystem, the geography of the area and its interesting history, while your soul is captivated by the beauty of the landscapes Patagonia has to share.

The National Park is around 12 km from Ushuaia and it is the only national park in Argentina which has a sea coast by being in the Beagle Channel. It has 63.000 hectares, where we can find different types of flora, such as lengas, cherry trees, calafates and notros, among others.

We will be able to see beaver and peat bogs on the Lapataia River; and also visit the Laguna Verde.

During the last part of the tour in the Tierra del Fuego National Park we will get to Bahía Lapataia to observe the stunning sight of the end of the Andes range, on the border with Chile. We will find incredible archaeological sites tolearn about the history of the Yámanas – the ancient indigenous people of the region.

Finally, the tour will take you to Lake Roca or “Acigami” (the original indigenous name). This lake of glacial origin, like most water bodies in the area, is characterized by its clear water and fine stone shore.
