Penguin rookery in Estancia el Pedral

In this amazing tour we will visit an old Patagonian Estancia that has a Penguins colony nearby. Walk among penguins and learn all about them.

We leave Puerto Madryn and travel about 70 km on the Patagonian steppe, until we reach the southern end of the mouth of the New Gulf where the Punta Ninfas lighthouse is located, a valuable landmark for
sailors entering the gulf. On the beaches that surround Punta Ninfas we can see the breeding roosts of elephants and sea lions.

We continue on our way to El Pedral, an authentic Patagonian estancia built in the early 20th century. Materials and furniture were brought from Europe by boat and landed on the shores of the farm itself. The house was opened in 1923 and still preserves the aesthetics and style of those times.

We will visit Magellanic penguin colony on the shores of El Pedral at a short distance from the house. A guided tour between their nests will give us the opportunity to know better to these curious animals.

By midday we will enjoy an “asado”, our typical barbecue, with a variety of salads, dessert and coffee.
Lunch includes drinks.
In the afternoon we can enjoy the pool and take walks around the Estancia
