Trekking Laguna Torre is one of the best known classic trails and brings us closer to one of the most beautiful and challenging mountains for climbers in the world. We'll arrive at the viewpoint of the Torre Mount, and enjoy glacial landscapes, a variety of lengas forests and a unique natural environment with magnificent views of our mountain range.

Trekking Laguna Torre is one of the classic trails of El Chaltén. The Cerro Torre (Torre mount) trail brings us close to one of the most beautiful mountains in the area, and one of the most challenging for climbers around the world! We won’t be climbing, of course, but we will learn about the necessary mountain skills that are required for those who do attempt it. The hike has several beautiful viewpoints along the way. We will reach the first of these, Cascada Margarita, after 30 minutes of a steady uphill trek. From here, we will have our first full view of the mountain range. We will continue ascending to reach the viewpoint of Cerro Torre being the highest point of the trek which offers incredible views of the whole valley, including Cerro Solo (Solo Mount) and Grande glacier. We will have a break before entering the valley itself. During the following section of the trek, we will hike along the Fitz Roy river and through a forest of Lenga trees until we arrive at the D’Agostini campsite. From there, the trail will lead us up a large glacial moraine to one of the best views near El Chaltén – a clear view of the Torre mountain range across the impressive Laguna Torre. We will have lunch here, taking in the views of Cerro Torre (the highest peak), Cerro Egger, Cerro Standhart (the mountains on either side), and the Aldeas mountains in the background. When we are ready, we will return to El Chaltén along the same trail.
