This activity is the best mountain experience that combines different trekking on trails, on rock and on ice. Divided into three stages, the last is where we will hike over the unexplored Cagliero Glacier having lunch there if the weather allows.

The tour starts at 9:00 am, leaving the Visitors Center of Estancia Los Huemules and walking for about 2 hours upstream the Diablo River, through a very well maintained trail, accessing the Diablo Lagoon, from where you can see the Cagliero Refuge.

The 2nd stage continues skirting the north bank of the Diablo Lagoon until reaching the beginning of a VIA FERRATA, which are rock climbing sectors that have little difficulty and were specially prepared with steel cables and artificial steps, so that we can move autonomously and self-secured with harnesses and tapes specially designed for it.

After 1 kilometer with 200 meters of altitude we will have amazing views of the Diablo lagoon and the Valley of the Diablo river, reaching the Glacier Viewpoint. From there and after a short walk, we will reach the front of the glacier, where the guides will distribute the crampons to start the trekking on the glacier.

Stage 3 is the exciting ice-trek. If weather conditions are good, our stay on the glacier will be 2 hours, which will allow us to enjoy lunch on it.
