Bahía Bustamante Lodge

On the coast of Chubut, with a sea of blue water, white sandy beaches, and a 360° natural environment, you will find Bahía Bustamante Lodge. A place to enjoy the immensity of nature, resting in a paradise considered "the new Galapagos" by the New York Times.

Bahía Bustamante Lodge is part of the National Park "Patagonia Austral" as well as the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve "Patagonia Azul". It is an Important Bird Conservation Area (IBA). It is really a paradise of pure nature where, in addition, there is a 60-million-year old petrified forest and many geographical landforms that allow for archaeological explorations and activities such as trekking, horseback riding and cycling.

Created in the 50's as an establishment to collect seaweed, with a school, a church, a grocery store and the necessary for a small village, it has been transformed today into a remote and exclusive Eco Lodge to receive travelers looking to rest and enjoy a unique contact with nature, which completely surrounds the lodge.

The philosophy of Bahía Bustamante is to promote conservation while maintaining the essence of the place and the balance with nature. Protecting the ecosystem is a priority in order to maintain the abundance and diversity of birds and marine mammals that live in the region.

Undoubtedly, this is an ideal Patagonian paradise for nature lovers. The tranquility and hospitality of the village, where only 40 people live, together with the exquisite Patagonian gastronomy and the peace of a conservation destination of more than 20 thousand bird species, 4 thousand sea lions and a colony of more than 50 thousand penguins, fully justify the New York Times definition: the new Galapagos in Argentina!

After a few decades, all the facilities have been refurbished, transforming Bahía Bustamante into an exclusive tourist destination, maintaining the philosophy of preserving the natural environment through a sustainable project.
