Horseback riding in Patagonia

14 days and 13 nights

In this special trip you will be able to enjoy Patagonia in a different way: Riding a horse. Accompanied by these beautiful animals you will be able to discover different iconic places in Argentina: the Glaciers in Calafate, The 7 lakes in Bariloche, the world of wine in Mendoza and the life of the countryside on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.

Day 1: Arrival in Buenos Aires

On arrival at Ezeiza Airport you will be driven to the chosen hotel in the city of Buenos Aires.

Day 2: City tour

In the afternoon enjoy a City Tour to visit Plaza de Mayo where the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Casa Rosada are located, the Colón Theater, La Boca with its famous Caminito Street and Puerto Madero area with its fancy restaurants.  

Day 3: Buenos Aires - Calafate

Fly to Calafate.

Day 4: Estancia and countryside experience with Horseback Riding

We will visit  Estancia Nibepo Aike  to enjoy the natural environment of the countryside and have a delicious welcome lunch to the land of the glaciers. In the stables we will get ready for our horseback ride: we will explore the surroundings accompanied by a “Baqueano” guide for approximately 1 hour.

Day 5: Ice Trekking at Perito Moreno Glacier

We will embark in the Bajo de las Sombras port, and after 20 minutes of sailing, we will reach the southwest coast, accessing the refuge to start the trek on the Glacier. We will start a walk along the shore until we reach the edge of the ice. The  Ice trekking at Perito Moreno Glacier  is an hour and a half long.

Day 6: Calafate – Bariloche

Fly to Bariloche.

Day 7: Horseback riding day by the Manso River

After a safety talk, we will start our adventure for approximately 3 hours, heading towards the Manso River coast and riding along beautiful mountain roads. Once we reach Pasarela campsite, lunch will be served and after a break we will continue our adventure riding for 1 hour and a half more.

Day 8: Puerto Blest and Cantaros waterfall with Frías Lake Sailing

Enjoy a full-day adventure in Puerto Blest and Cántaros waterfall taking one of the most beautiful treks in Patagonia. Also reach the famous Lake Frías before we head back to Bariloche

Day 9: Bariloche – Mendoza

Fly to Mendoza.

Day 10: Horseback riding day in vineyards

Today we will explore the wine world on an incredible horseback ride through vineyards, visiting the winery and having lunch with the best views of the Mendoza Andean range. At the end of the ride we will enjoy empanadas and a complete “asado” paired with wines from the cellar.

Day 11: Visit to wineries

We will visit 3  wineries that still keep all family traditions and we will learn all about the wine origins, at the foot of the Andean range. In each winery we will enjoy wine tasting and, at midday, we will have a gourmet lunch paired with the a variety of labels from the cellar.

Day 12: Mendoza – Buenos Aires

Fly to Buenos Aires.

Day 13: Visit to Estancia and countryside experience with horseback rididing

Visit the countryside for a full-day at an Estancia in the Pampas. Enjoy all ranch activities: a traditional folk show, a BBQ lunch, wine and a performance of the gaucho’s fantastic horse-riding skills. In this opportunity we will aldo enjoy 1-hour horseback ride in the surroundings.

Day 14: End of the tour

Say goodbye and transfer to the airport.
