Day 1: Arrival and night at Eco Camp

Arrival at the Eco Camp, located 20 km from El Chaltén and on the Río de las Vueltas on the river bank, with a fantastic view of the north face of the Cerro Fitz Roy. Accommodation at the Eco Camp. Dinner at the Eco Camp.

Day 2: Full day Lago del Desierto – night at Eco Camp

Breakfast and starting a tour through the history of the Patagonian region; visit to Lago del Desierto in the morning and a walk to the viewpoint at Laguna Huemul, with a “criollo” lunch at an exclusive place. Later, activities at the Eco Camp in a wonderful natural scenery. Dinner at the Eco Camp.

Day 3: Full day Fitz Roy Trail– night at Poincenot Camp site

Breakfast and transfer to where the trail to the Río Blanco starts, approximately 3 km in a mini bus. Starting the self-guided walk along a well defined path, finally arriving at the Poincenot Campsite. You will be taking a lunch box with you. There you can decide to go up to the Laguna de los Tres, the viewpoint, which is nearest to the Cerro Fitz Roy, with wonderful views. After this, you return to the path to the crossing point that leads to the Lagunas Madre e Hija, and from there, you will go to the Thorwood Campsite, where you will be welcomed with an afternoon tea. Accommodation, and in the evening, dinner.

Day 4: Full day Madre e Hija Trail / Laguna Torre – night in Thorwood Camp site

Breakfast and adjustment of crampons and harnesses. Departure to the Lago Torre towards the Glaciar Grande where you will have the experience of walking on a glacier. The walk to the Lago Torre is around 15 minutes, where you will cross the Rio Fitz Roy with a Tyrolean traverse. Later you will visit the moraine on the side of the glacier, descending to the Glaciar Grande.
Passengers will receive technical explanations on how to climb on ice, and they will also have an elemental practice. They will be able to enjoy amazing views of the Torres Egger and Standhardt, the Aguja Bífida, the Paso del Hombre Sentado and a panoramic view of the Fitz Roy.
Each passenger will carry a lunch box to have at midday, and dinner will be at the campsite, after the excursion.

Day 5: Return to El Chaltén

Breakfast at the Thorwood Campsite. Later, each passenger will receive a snack for the return trip to El Chaltén. The trip is along the Cerro Torre Trail.
