Day 1: GLITTERING WATER – Discovering Laguna Valle

Either hiking the trails that surround the wetlands or taking a boat to Laguna Valle are the two best ways for birdwatching. Some of the species than can be seen are: the steamer-tailed tyrant, the strange-tailed tyrant, the sickle-winged Nightjar and the black-and-white Monjita.

Day 2: CAMBYRETÁ – A Portal to Biodiversity

Along the Cambyretá portal it is possible to access the reserve, going through fields, grasslands and marshes. After riding several kilometers the park ranger station is reached; on the way it is possible to see a variety of bird species such as: the ochre-breasted Pipit, the Saffron-cowled blackbird and the Sharp-tailed Tyrant.

Day 3: RIVER AND FOREST – Bird Shelter

Entering the Paraná Forest –near the hotel- there is a rich biodiversity which hosts between fifty-five and seventy-one different tree species per hectare. Being an excellent place for birdwatching. The species that can be seen are: the crimson-crested woodpecker, the burnished-buff Tanager, and the black-tailed tityra.

Day 4: GALARZA & LUNA – Deep into the Wetlands

After 60 km along a dirt road you will get to the Galarza and Luna Lagoons. On the way it is possible to see different bird species. At the Galarza Lagoon, species such as the marsh seedeater and the white-collared seedeater can be watched.
