Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Calafate, Bariloche and Iguazu

from U$D 1490
15 days and 14 nights

This tour includes 15 days and 14 nights in the cities of Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Calafate, Bariloche and Iguazu. You will visit the most important tourist destinations in Argentina, like the mounts near Bariloche and the Nahuel Huapi Lake, the Perito Moreno Glacier, the Tierra del Fuego National Park and the Iguazu Waterfalls.

Day 1: Buenos Aires, City Tour

Arrival at the International Airport in Ezeiza and transfer to the chosen hotel in the city of Buenos Aires. In the afternoon we go on a city tour visiting Plaza de Mayo, where you will also see the Metropolitan Cathedral and Casa Rosada (Government House), Teatro Colón, La Boca district with its famous Caminito street and modern Puerto Madero where docks were refurbished to allocate sumptuous restaurants along the river. Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 2: Buenos Aires, Free Day - Tango Show Dinner Night

Breakfast and free day. At night we go to a Dinner Show in one of the many Tango houses where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and a Tango show of international quality.

Day 3: Buenos Aires – Ushuaia

Breakfast and transfer to Aeroparque to board the flight to Ushuaia. Arrival and transfer to the chosen hotel.

Day 4: Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego National Park and End of the World Train

Breakfast and trip to the Tierra del Fuego National Park, located 12 km from the city of Ushuaia. Before entering the park we arrive at the End of the World Train station, where we board the train that will take us to the station in the National Park to continue with our activity. In the Park we can see the typical species of the Andean Patagonian forest such as shrubs, beeches, ñires, Old Man’s Beard Lichen and flowers covering an area of 63,000 hectares. We will tour the most beautiful places in the Park, stopping at the panoramic views of the Beagle Channel surrounded by mountains and forests. On our way to the Bahía Lapataia we can see peat bogs and beaver dams. From there we will travel to LagunaVerde. We will go on a walk towards Laguna Negra or take the trail to the beaver dams before continuing to Bahía Lapataia, where we will visit archaeological sites and the starting point of the Panamericana route which ends in Alaska. On our way back to the city we will make a stop at Lago Roca. Later, we continue to Ushuaia.

Day 5: Ushuaia – Calafate – Free Afternoon

Breakfast and transfer to the airport in Ushuaia to board the flight to El Calafate. Arrival in El Calafate and transfer to the chosen hotel. Check-in and rest of the day, free.

Day 6: El Calafate – Visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier

Breakfast and a full day activity to the Perito Moreno Glacier, the most famous of the glaciers, declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. The glacier covers an area of 195 square meters, its width is 5 km and the height of its ice walls is up to 60 meters above the lake’s level. As you follow the catwalks you will be led to face the glacier and admire it in all its grandeur. Consult about the extra charge for the minitrekking activity on the glacier, a two hour circuit accompanied by mountain guides. Then you will stop for lunch at a shelter (take a lunch box with you) and then back to the catwalks where you will spend an hour and a half watching the most incredible views and calving activity. Back to the hotel.

Day 7: El Calafate, Free Day for Optional Activities

Breakfast. On this free day we recommend an optional activity to the ranch “Estancia Cristina”. The activity involves navigating the Lago Argentino among huge ice floes and magnificent views of the western front of the Glaciar Upsala, continuing through the Cristina Canal to the disembarkation point at the Estancia Cristina where there are many activities to do. Another good option is Navegación Todo Glaciares (navigating all the glaciers) visiting the front of the Glaciar Upsala and disembarking at Bahía Onelli (only if the ice barrier allows it), then navigating the surroundings of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Another shorter and cheaper option is Navegación Ríos de Hielo (navigating frozen rivers), navigating the Lago Argentino, but without passing the sites which have been mentioned, this is an excellent option for those who have already visited the Perito Moreno Glacier before. Back to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 8: El Calafate – Bariloche

Breakfast and transfer from the hotel to the airport in El Calafate to board the flight to the city of Bariloche. Arrival in Bariloche. Transfer to the chosen hotel and check-in. Rest of the day free. We recommend dining at el Ahumadero which belongs to the Weiss family where you can taste regional products such as smoked trout, deer leg, boar leg and smoked cheese among other exquisite delicacies from the Patagonian gastronomy.

Day 9: Bariloche – Cerro Catedral and Circuito Chico (Small Circuit)

Breakfast and starting the activity to Cerro Catedral which carries its name on account of its peaks with the shape of a gothic catedral, Cerro Catedral is the most important winter resort in South America. Back to the city of Bariloche.
In the afternoon we start touring the Small Circuit. The starting point is at Av. Ezequiel Bustillo, and after travelling for 8 km we get to Playa Bonita, from where you can see Isla Huemul. As the trip continues we arrive at the base of Cerro Campanario (1050 m). The summit may be reached by chairlift from where you can appreciate the vastness of the lakes and other natural attractions. Afterwards, the circuit leads to the magnificent Llao Llao hotel and San Eduardo Chapel, Puerto Pañuelo, the Angostura bridge, Bahía López, at the foot of the hill of the same name. Punto Panoramico (Panoramic Point), a natural balcony from where you can admire the whole Lago Moreno and Peninsula Llao Llao.

Day 10: Bariloche – Free Day

Breakfast and free day for shopping. We suggest the delicious regional chocolates. We recommend going on an activity to Isla Victoria and Bosque de Arrayanes, unique in the world by the purity of their samples and its incomparable cinnamon-coloured trees. Back to the hotel.

Day 11: Bariloche – Iguazú

Breakfast and transfer to the airport in Bariloche to board the flight to the city of Puerto Iguazú via Buenos Aires. Arrival in Puerto Iguazú and transfer to the chosen hotel. Check-in. Free Afternoon.

Day 12: Iguazú – Visit to the Waterfalls

After breakfast we will pick you up at the hotel for the activity to the waterfalls on the Argentine side where you will visit the three principal circuits. In the lower circuit walking along a trail you can experience the most magnificent sensations admiring the water cascades of up to 70 meters high. In this circuit you will appreciate the principal falls, Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), San Martín and Bozzetti. In the upper circuit it is also possible to have a panoramic view from the trails. The Devil’s Throat is the most amazing and breathtaking fall that forms part of the Iguazu Falls. It can only be visited on the Argentine side.

Day 13: Visit to the Waterfalls. Iguazú – Buenos Aires

Breakfast and activity to the Falls on the Brazilian side walking along a trail with countless vantage points and amazing views. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport in Puerto Iguazú to board the flight to the city of Buenos Aires, Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 14: Buenos Aires – Free Day
