Viedma Experience

This tour is a combination of both excursions, the “Viedma Light”and the “Viedma Ice Trek”, with the opportunity to spend the night in the Viedma Glacier camp. A unique experience that will allow you to trek on the rocky promontory and also trek and climb on the ice.

The Viedma Experience begins 2.45pm boarding at Bahía Túnel port, and departing 3pm to the Viedma Glacier. The navigation through the Lago Viedma will be calm and comfortable, due to the depth of the lake. During the navigation it will be possible to see icebergs of almost 40 meters above lake level, besides admiring the Fitz Roy and Huemul hills.

The landing will take place on the rocky promontory opposite the Viedma Glacier at 4:15 p.m. Then the passengers will enjoy a tea with a snack to leave for a trekking on the promontory. Very important: each passenger must take his/her own trekking footwear, warm clothes, gloves, scarf, sunglasses, sun protector and rigid trekking boots.

At 8:00 pm dinner is served and all passengers and guides will spend the night in the camp. If weather allows, a night walk will be taken to see the front of the Viedma Glacier.

The next day, after an early breakfast, we'll proceed to check and adjust the equipment for the ice trek.After lunch, return to the camp and at 4:00pm boarding to return to Puerto Bahía Túnel, ending the Viedma Experience activity.
